'Red Topaz' - the classic with extra sparkle
'Red Topaz' boasts the same qualities as its parent 'Topaz' - resistance to diseases, easy growing, delicious taste. Its attractive bright red fruit colour that develops about 10 days earlier gives 'Red Topaz' an advantage in warm, dry areas where the over colour in 'Topaz' can be weaker. Both varieties have gained a foothold among the most grown scab-resistant apple varieties in organic conditions in Europe - and 'Red Topaz' shines as the more visually distinctive option.
