'CAMELOT': A TOUCH OF REFRESHING CRISPNESS

'Camelot' is a late dessert variety highly robust to multiple diseases, which bears bicolour fruit with a firm and crisp texture and a harmonic, pleasantly refreshing, slightly tart flavour. Its apples keep in good shape for long in storage. 'Camelot' is one of our latest promising newselections, freshly introduced onto the market.

Origin: 'UEB 3317/1' x 'Mira'

Tree: tree type ramified, habit spreading, branching medium, vigour medium

Productivity: precocious, medium high to high, regular

Diseases: multiple resistance to scab, tolerance to powdery mildew and fire blight

Picking time: beginning of October, shortly before or with 'Golden Delicious'

Storability: in cold storage until March or April, in controlled atmosphere conditions for 10 months

Fruit size/shape: size medium, shape globose to conical, stem short

Colour: ground colour yellow, over colour bright red solid flush with weakly defined stripes on 70 - 80 %, russet-free

Flesh and flavour: flesh firm, crisp, juicy, fine-grained, flavour aromatic, a bit tart, very good, pleasant and refreshing
