TIGAWA® ('UEB 55861'): FIRM AND CRISP RED-FLESHED APPLE

Named after one of the oldest preserved free-standing temples in India, Tigawa® ('UEB 55861') is a new red-fleshed apple variety with medium to late ripening term, attractive fruits and flowers and robustness to diseases. Its apples are firm, crisp and juicy; their taste is rather balanced, just slightly acidic. This columnar, highly productive variety is suitable also for smaller home gardens.
Origin: unknown variety x 'Lambada'
Tree: habit columnar, medium vigorous
Blossom: medium early, flowers attractive, dark pink
Productivity: high, relatively regular, light thinning recommended
Disease resistance: resistant to scab, tolerant to powdery mildew
