'Shalimar' is a late (winter), highly productive, scab-resistant apple variety. Its brightly red conical fruits have good keeping quality and shelf life. We recommend growing 'Shalimar' in warm, sunny apple-producing areas, where the fruits achieve very good taste and high sugar and acid content.
Origin: 'Topaz' x 'Golden Delicious'
Tree: habit ramified, spreading, vigour medium, diploid
Blossom: mid-season, flowers heavily and regularly
Productivity: precocious, annual producer of heavy crops
Disease resistance: resistant to scab, tolerant to powdery mildew
