'GHIVA': THE EXCEPTIONALLY FIRM APPLE

It is not only its remarkably firm flesh what makes 'Ghiva' unique - this late dessert variety also boasts resistance to multiple diseases and long storability until the end of April. Thanks to this all, apples of this variety are ideal for storage and transport. Their taste will please those who prefer sweeter apples.

Origin: 'Fuji' x 'Heliodor'

Tree: habit ramified, spreading, vigour medium, branching good, bears on spurs

Productivity: early, medium to high, regular crop when thinning is conducted

Disease resistance: resistant to scab, powdery mildew and fire blight

Picking time: first half of October, about 2 weeks after 'Golden Delicious'

Storability: in cold storage till the end of April

Flesh and flavour: flesh very firm, medium juicy, flavour sweet
