'Redspring' is a late columnar variety suitable especially for home gardens. It bears attractive fruits with an outstanding bright red colour that develops better in cooler apple-producing areas, and with high juiciness and a very good, well-balanced sweet-tart taste.

Origin: 'Elise' x 'UEB 3300/1'

Tree: tree type columnar and compact, bears on spurs only (fruits hang both singly and in clusters), vigour medium, diploid

Blossom: mid-season, flowers heavily but without fruit thinning can become biennial

Productivity: precocious, heavy but usually requires thinning

Disease resistance: resistant to scab, only low susceptibility to powdery mildew
