'LILAC': THE VERY EARLY-FLOWERING ORNAMENTAL VARIETY

Home  Ι  Varieties  Ι  Ornamental varieties  Ι  'Lilac'

Like its sister 'Magenta', 'Lilac' is both an ornamental variety with highly decorative flowers and fruits and a good pollinizer for commercial orchards. Thanks to resistance to several diseases, it can find its use in both integrated and organic production. What makes it remarkable is its extraordinarily early and rich bloom that lasts about a fortnight, and high pollen quality. 'Lilac' is thus suitable for pollinating early-flowering apple varieties.
